Reflections: Psalms chapters 10-15

Reflections Psalms Chapters 10-15 Spirit of God Fellowship Church in South Holland, IL

One theme from these chapters that stands out is the comparison between sinners and believers and how God relates to both. Sinners use all their might to chase after evil.

They are prideful and arrogant and they use their thoughts, their sight, and their mouths to hurt others. Τhey even have the audacity to say God will never notice. Wow! But we know that's not true. God sees it all and He knows the intentions of our hearts and actions, whether they are good or not so good. David seems to understand the separation between these two groups. He sees how God cares for the hurting – the fatherless, oppressed, poor, and afflicted. He gives them special attention. He knows God is to be praised and also knows we have all turned away and have become corrupt – no one does good, not even one. Yet, he says those whose walk is blameless, those who do what is right (speak truth, honor others, lend money to the poor, don't talk bad about others, etc.) will never be shaken. Like never. On no occasion. At no time. Not ever.

This week ends with hope and encouragement! If we stay the course, He will be there to get us through life, and we won't be shaken!
