WORSHIP MINISTRIES
We live to worship God! The Bible tells us, and this community has seen, that God is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. Our worship services are not only individually transformative; they also bring us together as a family. Our worship singers, musicians, and dancers help lead us as we offer our praise to God, and our monthly Worship Nights bring us closer to God and each other.
THE BRIDGE ACCESSIBILITY MINISTRY
At Spirit of God Fellowship, we want our services to be available to everyone. If you or someone in your family has special needs, we want to do our best to meet those needs through The Bridge. This ministry provides a bridge for people who have accessibility needs, as well as their families, to ensure everyone is included in worship and as part of our church family. This bridge will give each family the chance to be blended spiritually into our church community and our ministries. Let us know what you need, whether that bridge is special seating, low lighting, headphones, a calming area to take a break, an ASL interpreter, respite care, special events—and we will find a way to meet that need to provide that bridge to allow inclusion.
BIBLE STUDIES
We always want to dig deeply into the Bible to grow in our faith, and we love getting together and talking about the Bible together. We offer several different groups that meet to study the Word of God.
A Women's Bible study meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 9:30-11am or 7-8:30pm (You can choose from either time--whatever works best for your schedule). We generally spend October through May reading through a book that challenges us to grow in our faith.
In addition, we have a Men's Bible Study called 40 Brave Soldiers for Christ. We meet at 7:30am on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month September through May. This is a time of fellowship, prayer, and growth led by our Senior Pastor Brian Kamstra.
We also recently began a bible study for moms of young kids. Bringing up kids in this world is a challenge, so get the support you need! This is a great way to get to know others who are dealing with some of the same challenges you are. Contact us at info@sogfchurch.com for more information on specific meeting times.
CONNECT GROUPS
We love seeing each other on Sunday mornings. But we also long for a deeper connection with each other—and that’s what our Connect Groups do.
Connect Groups are small groups of people who meet informally at regular times and build relationships during prayer, Bible study, outings, meals, or any number of activities.
Anyone can join one of our Connect Groups! Click below to sign up or get more information:
SAGE: SEASONED AND GROWING EVERY DAY
SAGE is our older adult ministry. SAGE offers active community here at SoGF for our members who are seasoned by their years and still growing in their faith. We also visit those in nursing homes or other senior living communities and host Bible studies to bring a little bit of SoGF to those who may not be able to travel to church. SOGF TEEN MINISTRIES
Spirit of God Fellowship’s youth group loves to spend time together! Whether during a service project downtown or playing together in the gym, they are learning to become leaders who will impact their communities in the name of Jesus. They are our future.
We have Sunday school for teens in middle school each Sunday during the 10am service. For our high school students, we offer Sunday School on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of each month in the Café after worship.
Check our events page to learn more about when and where our kids meet for youth group!

SOGF KIDS CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
We are thrilled to offer nursery for children younger than 18 months and Sunday School for children age 18 months through 12th grade during our worship services. Check-ins begin at 9:45am and close at 10:15am.
Kids in 9th-12th grade meet the first two Sundays of the month. They will sit together in the service during worship, and then will have class in the Great Awakening Café during the teaching portion of the service.

CALVARY ACADEMY
We are excited to have Calvary Academy as part of our ministry.
Calvary Academy serves kids in kindergarten through 8th grade. Their school is a private, non-denominational, ACSI-accredited, Christian school located next door to our church. You can see more about all they have to offer here.
Calvary Academy Day Care is also next door! They are licensed by the Department of Children & Family Services, and they accept Illinois Action for Children. Their programs are for infants and children through age 4. You can learn more about them here.

CARE & COUNSEL MINISTRY
Are you looking for prayer? Guidance? Support? We all go through times in life where we could use some comfort, and our Care & Counsel Ministry offers prayer teams, divorce and grief support, marriage and family guidance, and so much more.
MISSIONS
Outreach is a priority for our church. Scriptures commands us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-10, NIV). We encourage our members to do this in their everyday lives, but we also purposely support several ministries that live these verses out.
