In 1975, Brian picked up a hitchhiker who happened to be member of Spirit of God Fellowship. As a result of that encounter, he was radically saved in 1976 along with his wife Patrice, have been members of Spirit of God Fellowship for 42 years. Together, Brian and Patrice raised three kids in the church and now have a grandson. They are faithful servants, walking alongside many of us, praying with us, and now shepherding our church as it continues to grow.
He began taking on the role of Worship Leader in 1977, while developing a wonderful relationship with the pastor, Dr. John Sullivan. John later became his mentor and very close friend. Brian became an Elder of the church in 1986, but little did he know that God was preparing him for an even greater service.
In January of 2017, Dr. John Sullivan, was diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer, and he asked Brian to take over as pastor. Brian was officially installed as pastor at a service in March that same year.
God has placed him on this journey to pastor the church and carry on a wonderful legacy that was left by John Sullivan. It is a legacy of love, of friendship, and of service to the kingdom of God. Brian is honored to be a part of God’s plan for the church and knows that just as God was faithful to church for 42 years, He will continue to be faithful and do mighty things in the years to come.
